Second part of The Tyranny of King Washington DLC trilogy arrives on Xbox Live and PSN

The Betrayal – the second instalment of the three part Assassin’s Creed III DLC series, The Tyranny of King Washington – is out today on Xbox Live for 800MSP (£6.85/ €9.60/$10). The add-on arrives for PS3 players on PSN tomorrow, 20 March, priced £7.99/€9.60/$10. Of course, anyone who has already forked out for an Assassin’s Creed III Season Pass will be able to download the expansion at no extra cost.

Immediately following on from the events of The Infamy – the first part of the alternate reality DLC trilogy – The Betrayal starts with Ratonhnhaké:ton arriving in Boston as a prisoner of Israel Putnam. The expansion continues the DLC’s ongoing theme of animal spirits – the previous episode granted Ratonhnhaké:ton special wolf abilities – and The Betrayal brings new ‘Power of the Eagle’ tricks to use. See these bird-based skills and plenty of stabbing action in the Betrayal launch trailer below:

In terms of Assassin’s Creed III DLC coming to Wii U, Ubisoft has previously confirmed the extra content will appear on Nintendo’s eShop at some point in the future. Unfortunately for Wii U owners, that point in the future still remains unconfirmed at the time of writing.
