Star Trek DLC: Elite Officer Pack out now, new uniforms for Kirk and Spock

Some previously pre-order exclusive DLC for Star Trek is now available to buy from Xbox Live. The Elite Officer Pack, which is priced 80MSP (£0.69/€0.96/$1.00), offers five new uniforms each for Kirk and Spock, so that’s 10 in total, as well as three additional weapons to set for stun or whatever.

Here’s what you get:

  • Kirk outfits: Stealth Uniform, Leather Jacket Costume, U.S.S. Kelvin Uniform, Academy Uniform, Kobayashi Maru Uniform
  • Spock outfits: Stealth Uniform, Vulcan Science Academy Costume, U.S.S. Kelvin Uniform, Officer Dress Uniform, Kobayashi Maru Uniform

Halo 4 DLC images show off new Forerunner, Ricochet and ODST armor

Trio of shots offer a better look at the upcoming Champions Bundle suits

A trio of new shots from the upcoming Halo 4 Champions Bundle DLC have been released, offering a better look at three of the new armour sets contained in the bundle. Two are from the Infinity Armor Pack (worth noting that a third Classic Halo armor included in the pack isn’t pictured here), while the Ricochet Armor is part of the Bullseye Pack. The Infinity Armor Pack and Bullseye Pack are set to release 20 August, priced 240MSP (£2.06/€2.88/$3.00), and 480MSP (£4.11/€5.76/$6.00) respectively. Alternatively, both add-ons will be available as part of the Halo 4 Champions Bundle, which launches on the same day, priced 800MSP (£6.85/€9.60/$10.00), and also includes the Steel Skin Pack, which offers 10 new weapon skins.

Cheerleader and Hot Getaway packs for female fighters appear on Xbox Live

If you like to keep your Dead or Alive 5 female fighters with a well-stocked wardrobe, you’ll be pleased to know there’s a new delivery of DLC outfits ready to download now from Xbox Live. There are two themes on offer – Cheerleader and Hot Getaway (i.e. beachwear).

The cheerleader uniforms are available either individually for 80MSP (£0.69/€0.96/$1.00), or as a complete set for 720MSP (£6.17/€8.64/$9.00), while the bikinis are bundled in packs of three for 400MSP (£3.43/€4.80/$5.00), or all together in a single collection for 1040MSP (£8.91/€12.48/$13.00).

You can get cheerleader outfits for the following fighters: Hitomi, Kokoro, Leifang, Helena, Ayane, Lisa, Kasumi, Christie, Mila, and Tina.

And this is how the Hot Getaway Packs are bundled:

Black Ops 2 DLC: New weapon camo packs confirmed, coming next week

Looks like there’s a selection of new Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC on the way in the shape of more weapon Personalization Packs. The latest Xbox Live Marketplace update from Major Nelson lists six new packs – Aqua, Pack-A-Punch, Rogue, Breach, Desert Coyote, and Glam – each priced 160MSP (£1.37/ €1.92/$2), and scheduled for release next Tuesday, 23 July.

Unfortunately there are no additional details, but we’ve contacted Call of Duty publisher Activision in the hope it might be able to enlighten us with information, or even provide us with some pics of the new gun skins. As soon as we hear something back, we’ll update this story.

There are already 11 Personalization Packs available, with the nine originals, which include Zombies, Bacon, and Graffiti themes, later joined by Cyborg and Dragon camos following a community vote. The Personalization Packs contain themed weapon camo, reticles, and Calling Card.

Forza Horizon: Rally Pack DLC Review

Arcade racer takes a hard right into uncharted territory

The open-world freedom of the excellent Forza Horizon takes a more linear route with this rally expansion. Instead of screeching through traffic in one of the many hot rides across a beautiful Colorado, you’re funneled down dirt tracks with a co-driver barking out instructions.

There’s a whiff of the Colin McRae’s about it, which is unsurprising seeing as a few of the developers worked on the series before heading to Playground Games. The arcade smooth controls are fully intact, but the difference between topping the podium and watching on with tears in your eyes will require excellent reflexes. Or, y’know, an overuse of the rewind function.

Your mission is straightforward enough – gain enough points from the individual rally events to grab your place in the final. There are five new cars to bomb about in that will keep rally purists happy including the 1992 Ford Escort Cosworth and the ‘Group …

UPDATE #1: 2K has announced there are actually no fewer than NINE new skin packs being released today, with four for Krieg, and one each for Axton the Commando, Maya the Siren, Salvador the Gunzerker, Zer0 the Assassin and Gaige the Mechromancer. The packs are all available to download now from the PlayStation Network (US only – PS3 players in Europe will have to wait until 10 July). At the time of writing, there are still only the three Krieg packs featured below appearing on Xbox Live, but the rest should appear throughout the day.

Injustice: Gods Among Us – New 52 Pack DLC confirmed for next week

It’s hard to keep up with all the Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC announcements. No sooner have another four new character skins been revealed, along comes news of another skin pack. The latest addition to the collection of alternative costumes is the New 52 Pack, which includes outfits for Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman based on the DC Comics series revamp. The new bundle will be available on Tuesday, 2 July, priced 240MSP (£2.06/€2.88/$3.00) on Xbox Live, and £2.39/$2.99 on PlayStation Network.

If you recognise the costumes it’s because they aren’t completely new – they were all available as part of either the Special or Collector’s editions.

The last of four promised Injustice: Gods Among Us DLC skin reveals for this week has now been released, and it’s everyone’s favourite winged woman with a mace – Hawkgirl. She’s been given a Blackest Night makeover, and the skin will be released next week, 2 July, as part of the Blackest Night Pack 2. Here’s the first screenshot of the superhero sporting her new costume:
