New Super Luigi U DLC announced for Super Mario Bros U

Iwata compares this to making a whole new game

Big news, Wii U fans. It seems Nintendo are getting to grips with downloadable content after all, which is signalled by this massive announcement about New Super Luigi U – a huge expansion for New Super Mario Bros. During the Nintendo Direct conference,  Mr President, Satoru Iwata, even compared the size of this Luigi-driven DLC to that of a new game, so expect a whopper.

A release date has yet to be confirmed, but Nintendo hinted that the lengthy development time means it won’t be on the eShop until later in 2013. Damn. But hopefully, the wait should be worth it as all-new levels will be packed into this sizable expansion.
