Battlefield 4: 42 things you mightʼve missed in the new trailer

DICE get the next-gen rolling in impressive fashion

So DICE has finally given us a glimpse of the next-gen with their sexy looking shooter, Battlefield 4. The 17 minutes of in-game action named Fishing in Baku depicts the same rough and tumble action you’d expect from an FPS. But the bombs and bullets whizzing all over the place are jazzed up by the new Frostbite 3 engine that adds even more real life physics to the play.

The intense footage can be seen below, but check out the list below as there are probably some hints and facts about Battlefield 4 that you may miss in the clip.

Looks great, but did you manage to pick out all these bits?

Saints Row 4 will be be bigger than ever, DLC plans pencilled in

PAX East interview reveals the lofty plans in place at Volition

During a couple of interviews with Destructoid at PAX East, Volition has confirmed that Saints Row 4 will have ‘a fuckton more content’ than the previous game and a ‘robust DLC plan‘ is already in the works.

Saints Row 4′s creative director, Steve Jaros says the main campaign is about the same as Saints Row 3 – which is a good 15 hours, if our memories serve us correct. But in terms of open world stuff to do, Jaros says “There’s a fuckton more. Way more. It’s absurd”. He also claims that ‘fans aren’t ready‘ for the amount of stuff they’re putting in and that one side mission he started lasted a whopping four hours, because it sucked him in that much. Big words.

Jaros’ comments arrived after a tiny storm in an espresso cup was created when senior producer, Jim Boone confirmed ‘a very

Skyrim Dragonborn DLC Review (PS3)

Yes, you can now ride dragons. No, itʼs not as fun as it sounds

Like all the best things in a Bethesda game, especially for oft neglected PS3 owners, Dragonborn makes you work for its love. We spent a while wandering around Windhelm with anticipation, waiting for some sign that ‘new things’ would happen. Thankfully, it wasn’t long before we were set upon by a gang of priests in spiky masks, angry at our supposedly false claim of lineage to the great fire breathing monsters of the sky.

A quick fight and a brief rummage for clues inside their clothes later and we had our destination: a boat to take us across the sea to the new land of Soltsheim. Our quest? To seek out Miraak who has plotted our demise.

The boat takes you to Raven Rock, a town located on the south-west coast of the island of Soltsheim. Upon arrival you’ll notice enough visual modifications to feel like …

The Last of Us DLC will be multiplayer only – no plans for story add-ons

Naughty Dog not looking at expanding single-player mode post release

Developer Naughty Dog is only going to be offering multiplayer DLC for its upcoming PS3 exclusive, The Last of Us, and doesn’t currently have any plans for expanding the single-player story.

In an interview with EvolveEnt, Naughty Dog’s community strategist, Arne Meyer, said “DLC for The Last of Us is only going to be multi-player focused. We’re not looking at single-player DLC. It’s really simple – we wanted to make sure that we could throw everything that we wanted to into the game and that everything was really at the level of quality that we always want to put in.?

You can watch the full interview here:

Two Special Edition bundles for The Last of Us were announced earlier this year and each includes a different DLC pack. The Last of Us is currently scheduled for release 14 June, exclusively on PS3.…

Saints Row 3 DLC morphs into Saints Row 4, hereʼs a launch trailer

From expensive expansion to fully fledged sequel

Hey, remember when former THQ president, Jason Rubin said that the next Saints Row should ditch the gags and become as serious as Red Dead Redemption and Skyrim? We do. We also remember thinking that without the humour Saints Row would be a load of old bum, and it seems new publisher Deep Silver thinks the same. Enter Saints Row 4 – out August 23rd – and a launch trailer that laughs in the face of seriousness.

Surprisingly, this fourth installment started life as a big-budget cut of DLC for Saints Row 3 called Enter The Dominatrix, but it’s been fleshed out to provide a brand-new game full of super powers, Tron-cycles and men in combat gear doing ‘the robot’. Take a look at this…

To our eyes it appears rather samey to Saints Row 3. We just hope there’s enough new stuff to warrant another splurge of cash. After all, with …

Sleeping Dogs: Year of the Snake DLC Review

Wei Shen is back on the beat for a short and sweet showdown with some cultists

From the looks of the launch trailer, where Wei Shen is busted back down to beat cop, you’ll be forgiven for thinking that Year of the Snake will start out handing out parking fines and settling disputes as a sort of Police Academy theme tune tinkles over the top. But this introduction is played out in a cutscene and is incredibly fleeting. Similarly, this episode of Sleeping Dogs is equally brief.

After disobeying orders from the top brass and blowing up half of Hong Kong, Wei is forced into walking the beat again. Cue brief cutscene and general grunts of disapproval from our hero. But you don’t play any of the mundane stuff. All of a sudden a mad cult – though, we’re yet to come across a sane one  – leaps onto the scene and jabbers about the end of the world …
