GTA V: The 5 most exciting cloud formations that will be in GTA 5

The next Grand Theft Auto V from Rockstar promises to be the best Grand Theft Auto 5 yet thanks to some of the most exciting cloud formations we have ever seen in GTA Five. We have spent a couple of minutes looking at GTA IIIII screenshots and identified the five most exciting in-game configurations of fluffy-looking water vapour. Here they are:

01 Low Stratocumulus

While it’s the clouds of the genus cumulonimbus which are usually associated with thunderstorms, the formations in this image are more consistent with something like a low stratocumulus. However, the origin cloud of the impressive electrostatic discharge isn’t visible, so it’s possible there’s a cumulus congestus, or something similar, beyond the frame of the image that we can’t see. We contacted GTA V developer Rockstar to find out more, but unfortunately were told “Rockstar doesn’t comment on rumour and precipitation.”

02 Altocumulus Stratiformis

The unmistakeable expansive patches of altocumulus stratiformis is the sky’s way of saying …

PS4 Networkʼs Primal Carnage: Genesis trailer is sadly carnage free

Another look at the dinosaur focused next-gen PSN indie game

There might not be any actual carnage in this new trailer for the recently revealed Primal Carnage: Genesis, but it does have dinosaurs (always good), and provides a first look at the outdoor island environment where the game’s set. Have a looky:

Described by developer Lukewarm Media as a ‘story driven, episodic single player adventure’, Primal Carnage: Genesis is one of the first confirmed indie titles heading to PlayStation Network on PS4.

We imagine the menacing dinosaur foot at the end belongs to the angry tyrannosaur introduced in the first Primal Carnage: Genesis trailer. Hopefully the next promo vid will show the angry tyrannosaur going mental and eating dinosaurs. Less foreplay, more carnage.

Fire Emblem: Awakening Rogues and Redeemers DLC is out now

Old Fire Emblem fighters return in latest expansion

Although Fire Emblem: Awakening still isn’t out in Europe (April 19th, demo available now) Nintendo has seen fit to release more DLC in the shape of Rogues and Redeemers 1. Siliconera reports the new map has our hero, Chrom, teaming up with several characters from old games, led by Fire Emblem: Sacred Stones hero, Ephraim (the stoic-looking chap above).

Apparently, the enemies in this new DLC are pretty tough, but if you manage to batter the snot out of them you’ll be rewarded with Ephraim as a playable character in Awakening. Sweet. You can grab Rogues and Redeemers 1 from the eShop for $3 or spend $6.50 to get a discount on the other two that are upcoming soon – release date TBA.

Next DLC to roll out of the showroom for Forza Horizon is the Top Gear car pack, which arrives on April 2nd. The six new rides haven’t been chosen by Clarkson, the hairy one and the small fella, but rather a combination of the magazine team of the same name and Turn 10 Studios.

  • 1998 Mercedes-Benz AMG Mercedes CLK GTR

Skullgirls funding stops at $829K, loads of DLC confirmed

Lab Zero Games get the cash they requested and then some

The $150,000 Indiegogo target for Skullgirls DLC has been smashed to pieces as Lab Zero Games has netted a whopping, and OCD pleasing, $829,829.Rather than get the next flight to a tax-haven in Monaco, the developer has a bloody load of DLC on the way for the 2D beat ‘em-up.

Squigly, the character above, is the fighter Lab Zero Games set out to fund and she will come free of charge for a limited time only. There’s also Big Band, the first male scrapper to step into this lady dominated universe, Robo-Fortune and two mystery fighters that will each get their own unique story arc and stage.

Skullgirls is out now on Xbox 360 (1200MS) and PS3 (£11.99), but you can expect the DLC to arrive later in 2013. Take a look at Squigly being demoed for the first time ever and check out the enthusiasm from the crowd …

PS Store Spring Sale is a mixed bag with a few highlights – full list

Some decent PS3 deals, not so many for the Vita though

The PlayStation Store’s seemingly annual Spring Sale is live right now on the European PS Store. As sales go, it’s pretty huge, but a bit of a mixed bag (and only 1 Vita game?). However, there are some decent looking discounts on some decent games – for PS3 Driver: San Francisco, Child of Eden, the PixelJunk series, and Trine 2 are particularly tempting, while the Persona games are definitely worth a look for anyone still rocking the PSP. If you see something you fancy, grab it before 9 April, when the sale ends.

Here’s the complete list. It’s quite long:

PS3
